Michelle Sagara lives in Toronto with her long-suffering husband and two sons. She is very allergic to cats, unlike many authors, and her house is a zone of chaos. With bookshelves. Her first novel was published in 1991 (Into the Darklands), and she’s continued to write novels since then.
She writes as Michelle West (The Sun Sword, The House War series) and Michelle Sagara (The Chronicles of Elantra, The Wolves of Elantra). She also reviews for the venerable Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. She’s worked, in one capacity or another, for Bakka-Phoenix books in Toronto, since 1986, because she’s also a bit of a bookstore geek.
Her favorite muppet is Oscar the Grouch.
You can find her online at her website (http://michellesagara.com), Twitter (msagara), and Facebook as Michelle Sagara.

March, I am really enjoying your interviews. This one with Michelle Sagara is very interesting. I especially enjoy the easy, flowing conversation which invites me to feel like I’m at the table with the two of you. Great for listening with my morning coffee. Thanks.
